Welcome to Tillamook, which literally means the land of many waters in the salishan language, is located on the Northern Oregon Coast tucked between the Coastal Range Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The City of Tillamook is the gateway to the area where some of the most beautiful beaches on the Oregon Coast are located. We are also home to World Class Chinook Salmon fishing with three major bays and seven major rivers. The bays are outstanding for crabbing and clamming and provide access to ocean fishing.
Tillamook is also home to the Tillamook Cheese Factory, the most visited tourist attraction on the Oregon Coast also boast of a maritime museum, naval air museum and county historic museum in addition to being surrounded by 364,000 acres of mountains, forests, rivers and streams that make up the Tillamook State Forest. There is much to see and do in this scenic part of our state with outdoor recreation activities topping the list.
